North East Himalayas Trekking Tour

Tour Itinerary

Days 1 : Guwahati -Tezpur (220 km/ 5hr)
Our tour manager will welcome you at Guwahati airport. Later transfer to Tezpur.
Days 2 : Tezpur - Bomdila (8500 Ft) (160 km/ 5hr)
Transfer to Bomdila. Bomdila; a picturesque town in the foothills of Himalayas. One can see the brilliant landscape and snow-clad Gorichen ranges of the Himalaya on a clear day. The town is famous for Bomdila Monastery, built under the guidance of Dalai Lama. Also visit craft center, where very fine wooden carpets of colorful designs and facades are produced.
Days 3 : Bomdila - Thembang: (TREK) (8 km)
After a short drive to the trekking point we trek to Rahung village to see the Rahungpa tribe. After lunch trek upward to Thembang, one of the oldest Monpa tribal villages.
Days 4 : Thembang - Semnak (7800 Ft) (10 km) : (TREK)
Trek to Semnak village.
Days 5 : Semnak - Lagam (9000 Ft) (12km) : (TREK)
Trek to Lagam.
Days 6 : Lagam - Chander (10000 Ft) (15km) : (TREK)
Trek to Chander. From Chander Village one can have beautiful views of the Himalayan peaks all around.
Days 7 : Chander - Shangti (5500 Ft) (7 km): (TREK)
Later a short drive to Dirang: Trek to Shangti. Then take a short drive to Dirang .
Days 8 : Dirang - Tawang (12000 Ft) (150 km)
After breakfast transfer to Tawang. Tawang is a major center of the Mahayana Buddhism.
Days 9 : Tawang
Proceed for a tour in Tawang visiting; Tawang Monastery (Vihara); about 400 years old and the second largest Buddhist monastery in India. Also visit Urqelling Monastery; the birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama who is the only Indian to have risen to such a high position in Gelupka Sect of Buddhism so far.
Days 10 : Tawang - Bomdila
After breakfast transfer to Bomdila. a picturesque town in the foothills of Himalayas. One can see the brilliant landscape and snow-clad Gorichen ranges of the Himalaya on a clear day. Days 11 : Bomdila - Nameri National Park (160km/ 5hr)
After breakfast transfer to Nameri National Park – one of the two national parks in Assam is known for Mammals like Elephant, Tiger, Leopard and over 300 species of birds. The river Jia- Bhoroli and its tributaries crisscross the park. Overnight at Eco-Camp, a camp resort located near the sparkling Jia Bhoroli river which forms a boundary to the park.
Days 12 : Nameri – Guwahati Airport (250 km/5 hr)
After breakfast transfer to Guwahati airport for your departure flight. The tour ends here.
