Tour Itinerary

Days 1 : Guwahati –Shillong(125 kms/ 04 hours drive)
Arrive Guwahati. Upon arrival, meet & assist by our company representative and drive to Shillong; also known ‘Scotland of the East”. On the way enjoy the majestic Umiam Lake (Barapani) surrounded by sylvan hills and wrapped in the beauty of an assortment of green Khasi-pines and the azure blue skies. Upon arrival in Shillong, check-in to the hotel.
Days 2 : Shillong–Cherrapunjee(56 kms/ 1.5 hours drive)
Early in the morning enjoy the mesmerizing morning of Shillong and later post breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee; the wettest place in the world. It is a pleasant drive to see roaring waterfalls leaping into deep gorges, including the famed Nohsngithiang Falls. The beautiful waterfall Nohkalikai is at Cherrapunjee. You can also explore some of the caves in and around Cherrapunjee like Elephanta falls and Shillong peak for some breathtaking views.
Days 3 : Shillong
Post breakfast; proceed for a tour in Shillong visiting Shillong Peak; it is the highest point of Shillong, located in the upper Shillong an altitude of 1961 meters (6,433 feet). Later visit to Elephant Falls; one of the majestic waterfalls in Meghalaya. The water of this three steps falls comes down in flows from different levels over the fern-covered rocks and falls into the canyon down below. Also visit to Wards Lake and Cathedral of Mary Help of Christian.
Days 4 : Shillong - Nameri National Park (316kms/ 06 hours drive)
After breakfast drive to Nameri National Park in Assam near Arunachal border. Nameri National Park is the home of the near extinct White Winged Wood-Duck. Besides, the park abounds in Elephants, Tiger, Leopards, Sambar, Barking Deer, Wild Pig, Gaur, Wild Dogs and a variety of birds including four species of Hornbill.
Days 5 : Nameri National Park – Kaziranga National Park (70 kms. / 02 hours drive)
After breakfast, you can have a walk inside the park. Later leave for an exciting experience of river rafting on the Jia Bhoroli which forms a boundary to the park (Subject to availability). Afternoon; transfer to Kaziranga National Park; an UNESCO World Heritage Site and the home to the endangered one horned rhinoceros (2048 rhinos as per 2009 census). Besides, the park has several species of mammals and birds. The Park has more than 70% of the world's one-horned rhino. Population, 70% of the world population of the Eastern Swamp Deer and 75% of the world's wild Asiatic water buffalo. It has a significant population of the Asian Elephant. Birding is by jeep and Elephant.
Days 6 : Kaziranga National Park
Early morning explore Western Zone of Kaziranga National Park on back of elephant. Apart from world's endangered One-horned Rhinoceros, the Park sustains half the world's population of genetically pure Wild Water Buffaloes, over 1000 Wild elephants and perhaps the densest population of Royal Bengal Tigers anywhere. Kaziranga is also a bird watcher's paradise and home to some 500 species of birds. The Crested Serpent Eagle, Palla's Fishing Eagle, Greyheaded Fishing Eagle, Swamp Partridge, Bar-headed goose, whistling Teal, Bengal Florican, Storks, Herons and Pelicans are some of the species found here. We will return to the resort for breakfast. Afternoon we have arranged a jeep safari through the Central Zone of the National Park. Evening come back to the hotel.
Days 7 : Kaziranga National Park – Sangsua/ Gatoonga Tea Garden (75 kms/2 hour's drive)
After breakfast transfer to Sangsua / Gatoonga Tea Estate near Jorhat. On arrival check- in to the hotel and rest of the day is free at leisure enjoying the tea garden. If tea plucking and the factory works go on we shall take the assistance of a garden executive to explain us the method of tea plucking or tea processing. Unlike many tea producing nations in the world, the Tea Gardens in Assam are fairly big in size covering several hectares. Assam tea is known for its Black Teas-Orthodox and C.T.C.
Days 8 : Sangsua/Gatoonga – Majuli Island (1.5 hours ferry) – Sangsua/Gatoonga
We shall take a day long excursion to Majuli Island after early breakfast. Majuli is the largest river island in the world. It is the centre of Assam's famous Vaisnavite form of Hinduism. The religious and cultural traditions are kept alive by the dedicated monks living in the monasteries locally known as Sattra. The Sattriya dance of this sect is the latest entry into India's recognized classical dances. We shall visit some monasteries and interact with the celibate monks. In the late afternoon we return the same way to Sangsua/Gatoonga tea estate.
Days 9 : Sangsua/Gatoonga – Guwahati(290 kms. / 06 hours drive)
After breakfast leave for a long drive to Guwahati. On the way enjoy the beautiful landscapes. Upon arrival, check-in to the hotel.
Days 10 : Guwahati
After breakfast; proceed for a guided tour in Guwahati visiting Sualkuchi Silk Village, Madan Kamdev archaeological ruins, Kamakhya temple etc.
Days 11 : Guwahati – Departure
After breakfast, on time transfer to Guwahati airport to board the flight to onward journey.
